No One is Missing

In Numbers 31:1-5, God spoke to Moses to take vengeance on the Midianites for the Israelites, he spoke to the people of Israel to gather a thousand men from each tribe to go to battle. A total of twelve thousand men went into battle and at the end of the day, when the people were counted by the officers in charge, they saw that no one was missing. In Numbers 31:50, an offering of gold earrings, bracelets among other things were brought to the Lord, to give thanks.

Sometimes, we forget to give thanks to God for the things He has done for us. When we are not giving thanks to God deliberately, we are giving thanks to ourselves and boasting in ourselves. When we think deeply about the things God has done for us, our thanksgiving would be deep and sincere, and when we give thanks, our thanks would not be complete without giving an offering to the Lord because a consistent giver can never be forgotten by God.
